In 2016 anno Domini, the Vatican decided it was about time to relaunch the Holy
Inquisition and appointed the members of Ecclesia to fight the heretic and to put up
stakes wherever it may be necessary.
Thus Ecclesia released their glorious first demo Witchfinding Metal of Doom in
June 2017, offering a compromise between Heavy Metal, Doom riffs and monastic
chants.
2018 anno Domini was the year of the band\u2019s very first live appearance before
entering the studio a few months later in order to record their first album.
Ecclesias first full-length effort De Ecclesi Universalis came out in November
2020 on Italian label Aural Music. However, due to the corona pestis pandemic
going on at the time, the boys in red had to wait until 2022 to hit the stage again.
After a few successful shows, among which a few festivals such as the Metallian
Birthday Party in France or the Storm Crusher in Germany, the second album
Ecclesia Militans was released in March 2024, taking the band\u2019s music and
universe even further.
2024 anno Domini was a turning point in Ecclesia\u2019s way as despite the release of the
new album, the band parted ways with singer Frater Arhnwald.
Today in 2026, the Holy Inquisition is back in business with a new singer, working
on new material and ready to make the witch tremble again !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
